An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our team with global presence. Securitas is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for our Electronics Security Systems Division. Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will be a part of a multi-cultural team of Engineers, and Technicians and will be responsible for providing effective engineering and implementation of end to end execution for electronic security system.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for detailed engineering documents like detailed technical solutions, engineering drawings as per the local regulations applicable but within the awarded contract.
- Execute the project within the agreed time frame with the client, provide technical support to the team and maintain documentation as required to execute the project.
- Responsible for onsite supervision and implementation of the construction of an electronic security system.
- Interact with customers and consultants & Interact with suppliers /OEM for technical input
- Carry out risk assessment and prepare method of statements
- Support the execution team in commissioning of the systems and test and acceptance procedures
- Product demos – preparation, delivery and follow-up on technical product demos.
- Provide technical back-up to sales – attend trade shows, follow-up after sales calls/visits, etc.
- Supervise subcontractors and coordinate with internal and external to ensure the works are completed according to design intent and the workmanship is up to the company's standard;
- Report the work progress and status regularly such as work variation, change of design, abortive works etc. if any;
- Attend regular project meetings and liaise with customers; E&M consulting engineers and subcontractors for the successful completion of the work;
- Prepare drawings and submission of the project;
- Process of the completed installation site hand-over includes assisting in the testing & commissioning of all systems to customers;
- Manage and supervise all assigned projects, including cost control and manpower allocation, ensuring work is completed according to contract terms.
- Work with Architects and Consultants to provide updates on work progress, technical compliance, and variation claims. Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials in line with project progress and budget.
- Coordinate requirements of various key internal and external stakeholders ranging from Sales, Project Management, Engineering and Service, through to Customers and Customer site employees
- Identifying customer needs on site and translating these into workable solutions.
- Work closely with external and internal parties to ensure projects meet delivery schedule.
Requirements:
- Engineering degree holder in Electrical, Electronics or any equivalent field is preferable
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience and comprehensive knowledge of low voltage systems including Access Control, CCTV, Fire Alarm, Intercom, Gate barriers, Intruder Alarm, Network configuration etc.
- Proven experience in the system design and implementation of security solutions and techniques
- A thorough understanding of technical drawings, reviewing and commenting on design and sub-contractor submissions where applicable.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Projects
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reasonable degree of IT Literacy in MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- knowledge of Genetec/Lenel/CCure would be considered an added advantage ?
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
